This study examined teacher’s preceptions and its solutions of early childhood risk-taking play. To this end, data were collected and analyzed through in-depth interviews with six early childhood teachers in January and February 2022. The results of this study are as follows. First, the teachers perceived the risk taking play: 'play that is always played', 'play with risk of safety accidents', and 'chaotic play with dilemma'. Second, the teachers used as its solutions for risk-taking behavior: 'promise', 'language-based intervention', 'close observation' and 'differential guidance according to parent’s perceptions’. Third, as obstacles to the implementation of risk taking play and the demands of teachers, ‘awareness of the principals, teachers, and parents’, ‘physical environment of an early childhood education institution’, ‘ratio of teachers vs. children’, and ‘standard of risk-taking play’ were found. The above findings provide information on the need for child-risk play, and are expected to be used as a basis data for risk-taking play.
