In China, the quota system for university admissions was introduced by region. This is to give students from areas with uneven educational development the opportunity to attend college. But the policy has created problems.
Regarding the transition process of the regional quota system, the main text connects the three stages of history, modernity, and modernity. The formation process was organized through connection. Each study analyzed the three issues from different perspectives: the difference in the pass line between regions, university immigration, and university localization. However, there is no study that analyzed and joined the regional quota system. Therefore, in this text, the analysis of each study was synthesized and the analysis of the regional quota system was added to the three problems. In addition, policy reflection on the problem was included and analyzed.
In conclusion, three things were obtained. First, there is a connection between the change of the regional quota system from ancient times to the present day. Therefore, research on formation should not be biased.
Second, the regional quota system was initiated to ensure that the imbalance of development between regions did not impede students' admissions opportunities. However, according to changes in policies between regions, the regional quota system and the family register system were connected. Education policy cannot take into account the issues behind it when it comes to resolving the immediate problem. The improvement method needs to be analyzed in three aspects: rational distribution of educational resources, reduction of the function of the family register system in education, and diversification of the evaluation system.
Third, the policy now shows that vocational education has become a well-rounded means of addressing student admissions issues by region. In the past, goal was to get a education background, but now goal is to get a job. Not only will the admissions goals change, but the school curriculum will also be focused on the vocational education in the future. In the future, it is necessary to explore in detail the setting of vocational curriculum.
