1. Motives for entrance and school life.
a.35% of the a students chose to come to KUC.
b.When they chose to come to KUC, they were encouraged by their family, except 138 students which is 13% of the student body.
c.The students are generally satisfied with their majors.
d.39% of the students answered that the most difficult problem with school life is the religious thension. They solve theses problems by talking to friends, and communing with God.
2.Week of Prayer
a.Alittle over 70% of the students prefer to have week of Prayer once a semester. It is interesting to note that over 50% of the student body prefers a Korean Speaker.
b.Over 60% of the students answered that the most inflyential aspect of the Week of Prayer is the sermon.
c.Most of the students like prayer bands and over 50% prefer 10 members in each group.
d.The students like to meet once a day for prayer meeting, and over 50% of the students like to have song service prior to the service ot befeore classes begin.
3.Life as it is before and after baptism.
a.Among 1008 students, 70% are baptized students and 46% (340 students) of the 70% beptized received Christ at Korean Union College.
It is interesting to note that 40% of the converts korean Union college were baptized their first semester in their freshmen year.
b.85% of the surveyed students can remember the exact date, place and officiating minister. Over 50% of them understood the gospel. Over65% answered that baptism is related with salvation.
c.Over 50% wnat to make their own decision for baptism, with friends and family to celebrate with them their decision fot Christ at the naptizmal ceremony.
d.The most difficult problem after baptism is proper diet. Also they desire Bible study groups and Christian fellowship.
e.The most effective aids are personal Bible study and prayer 65% strongly suggested that the neglect of these end in spiritual stagnation.
f.Over 47% give on a consistent basis for offerings but at the neglect of tithing.
g.55% often read the Bible, but 11% never do.
h.35% have an everyday prayer life, while 40% pray often. 45% occasionally participate in evangelistic activities.
i.46% keep Sbbath wholly.
j.40 % participate in the prayer meetings.
4.General religious aspect
a.40% answered that the Sabbath school activities at korean Union College helped their religioys life. But chapel needs to be improbed.
b.The Sabbath school lesson study is O.K. for most students.
c.35% do not possess the Spirit of Prophecy books, and 39% do not know about Ellen G. White's writings 40% never read her books.
d.45% answered that the reason for going to church is to understand the message of redemption.
e.45% prepare for the Sabbath on Friday, and 84% like to wear nice suits on Sabbath. Most students spend Sabbath afternoon visiting friends.
f.Over 55% answered that they will keep the faith in spite of any difficulties.
g.Over 67% admitted to inner struggles because of religion and to a friend rather than a professior.
