    This paper explains how innovative activities affect firm’s performance and profitability in selected IT venture companies in South Korea. The study hypothesized that the Innovative activities of IT venture firm will affect positive influence both potential to growth and profitability.
    The variables are classified as R&D related and Non R&D related area by comparison with previous studies. Independent variables in this research are as follows; first, the number of patent applications, registrations and R&D staff in workforce respectively. Second, management practice intellectual property area, team training, organization, R&D centre, protecting polices. Third, the policy of promotion or remuneration is.
    Above all, through the regression analysis from 50 IT venture firms, variables related to patent quantities by applications, registrations have the highest impact on potential for growth of IT ventures. Furthermore, the number of employees involved in intellectual property management affects profitability.
