In this study, to measure the actual displacement of the bearing part according to the amount of heat generated by the high frequency spindle, the displacement error of the measuring test bar and bearing part was compared and analyzed through experiment.
In order to set the basic conditions for conducting this experiment, the optimal oil-air volume setting and proper external cooling capacity were selected to establish the optimal operating conditions of the spindle. In addition, the test bar is mounted on the attachment of the spindle tool, and the Z-axis displacement value of the test bar and the bearing part are obtained, and the experimental results for the two conditions are finally obtained through comparison and analysis.
As a result of the experiment, there was a displacement error of 30.2 μm in the direction of the Z-axis at the test bar, and 10.8 μm in the direction of the Z-axis at the bearing area. Comparing the results of the two experiments, it was confirmed that the measured value of the spindle bearing is about 33% higher than the measured value of the test bar.
