You means wandering or playing without any constraints. There are two basic meanings in the concept of You, that is, freedom and diversity. According to Chinese philosophy, You is not only a special type of action, but also a special life attitude, that is, an attitude without any attitudes. This special attitude is one of the important elements of Chinese traditional literati’s life way. From this special attitude, we can see thing appearing or presenting as itself. In this sense, we can find some similarities between You and aesthetic reduction in phenomenological aesthetics. Chinese traditional literati usually wander in different disciplines, landscapes, and artworks. By wandering in different areas, people can make their tastes more flexible, learn to appreciate different things, and finally make different cultures exist peacefully in this globalization time. This is perhaps the most important meaning of You in today’s society.
