국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 다문화가정에서 결혼이민자가 자녀들에게 자신의 모국어 를 사용해 양육하여 이중언어 환경에 노출시키는 것이 바람직하다는 선행연 구를 토대로 정체성의 혼란 없이 이중언어를 구사하는 사례들을 제시하는 것 이다. 본 연구의 대상은 경기도 안성지역의 다문화특화 초등학교에서 이중언어를 사용하고 있는 4학년을 선정하였고, 연구 참여에 대한 동의를 구한 후 관찰평 가와 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 다문화청소년들의 자아존중감은 높은 수치를 나타냈으며, 한국어 를 습득하면서 언어에 대한 자신감을 갖게 되어서 또 다른 언어를 배우고 싶 어 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이들은 자신이 한국인이라는 감정을 느끼는 경우가 자신이 한국어로 말하는 경우 및 다른 친구들에게 한국어를 가르쳐줄 때라고 응답하였다. 다문화청소년에게 있어서 언어란 가정과 사회를 잇는 매 개체이자 의사소통의 수단이지 부정적 정서나 스트레스를 유발하는 매체가 아니었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, it is desirable for multicultural families to have their children exposed to a bilingual environment using their native language. Based on the preceding research, the purpose of the study is to inform parents who are reluctant to speak a bilingual language without any confusion in identity. Fourth graders children who are bilingual were conducted an observation evaluation and an interview. Multicultural youth showed high self-esteem, and wants to learn another language by learning Korean and having confidence in the language. They said it was time to speak Korean when they were like Koreans and teach Korean to their friends. For them, language is a medium and means of communication between the home and the society, not causing negative emotions or stress.
