국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 집단의 다문화청소년 집단의 다양성과 일반청소년과의 비교에 주목을 하고 발달상의 차이를 유발하는 요인을 분석하고 있다. 그 결과 다 문화패널집단과 일반패널집단의 차이는 전체집단에 해당되는 것은 아니며, 가정의 소득수준에 따라 그 양상이 다른 것으로 나타났다. 다문화청소년이 모두 같은 특성을 지니는 것이 아니며, 적응의 수준은 다양한 것으로 나타 났다. 초등학교 4학년부터 중학교 1학년까지의 다문화청소년에 대한 한국청 소년정책연구원의 4년간 종단자료 분석 결과, 긍정적인 측면의 증가와 부정 적인 측면의 증가가 동시에 나타났으며, 중학교에 입학한 것이 다문화청소 년들의 발달상 전환기이고 이러한 요인이 학업성취나 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치며, 사춘기에 들어서면서 자신의 정체성에 대해 생각하게 되는 시기에 이르렀을 가능성을 시사해준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study notes the diversity of multicultural adolescent groups and the comparison with their ordinary counterparts and analyzes the factors that cause differences in development. The results showed that differences between the multicultural panel group and the ordinary panel group were not consistent while the household income level made a difference. More specifically, it was revealed that not all the multicultural adolescents shared the same trait and their adaptation level varied. National Youth Policy Institute’s 4-year-long longitudinal study on multicultural adolescents from fourth graders in elementary school to first graders in middle school found an increase in both the positive and the negative. The study suggests that entering middle school is a turning point in the development of multicultural adolescents and such a factor could impact their academic performance or satisfaction of life. It also implies a possibility that as their puberty kicks in they have come to a point where they start thinking seriously about their identity.
