韓紙作業을 통한 自然 이미지 表現 硏究 : 本人의 作品을 中心으로

자연은 예로부터 인간의 끝없는 관심의 대상이었고 생활의 터전이었으며 그 신비스러움과 장엄함으로 인하여 인간으로 하여금 늘 표현하고자 하는 욕구를 느끼게 한다. 그리고 자연은 예술가에게 수많은 소재를 제공하고 언제나 풍부하게 예술에 대한 표현의 기회를 준다. 그러나 이것은 받아들이는 작가의 마음에 따라 소재를 선택할 뿐만이 아니라 그것을 재구성하여 자연에서 질서와 법칙을 발견한다. 예술은 어느 시대 어느 민족의 미술 양식이나 그 토대가 되는 것이 자연이었다는 사실을 쉽게 알 수 있다. 하나의 독창적인 예술형식이 쇠퇴하면서 새로운 형식이 발생하는데 있어 그 형식의 발생 동기나 정신의 배경이 되는 것이 현실이나 자연에 대한 또 하나의 새로운 발견이었다는 것은 동·서양을 막론하고 공통된 사실일 것이다. 이렇듯 예술가는 자연에서 끊임없이 미(美)를 추구하고 또 자연은 무궁무진한 자료를 제공해 주고 있다. 본 연구자는 오늘날 현대의 각박한 도시생활 속에서 한 발 물러나 자연이 주는 아름다움과 여유로움, 잃어버린 자신만의 마음속에 간직한 자연의 이미지를 산, 꽃, 비라는 매개체를 통해 한지의 다양한 표현 기법과 먹(墨), 색(色), 선(線)으로 나타내었다. 또한 한지의 특성을 살려 자연의 이미지를 형상화함으로써 강인한 생명력과 신비감, 그리고 자연의 경이로움과 아름다움을 주관적 심상의 소재로 삼아 조형적으로 재구성하여 혼돈과 무질서한 사회에서 잠시나마 위안을 얻고자 하였다. 이론적 연구에서는 인간이 자연에서 제공받는 내적 심상의 이미지를 표현하기 위해 한지의 역사와 특징을 연구하고 회화에서의 자연의 이미지를 고찰해 보며, 방법적 연구로는 한지를 물에 불려 주물러 반죽하는 것과 손이나 도구를 이용한 선 긋기나 두드리기, 찍기 등 다양한 한지를 이용한 기법적인 면과 본인의 심상에서 걸러진 자연 이미지 표현에 대해 설명하였다. 본 논문은 한지를 이용해서 내면에 깊이 자리 잡고 있는 자연의 이미지를 외적으로 조형화 한 것으로 다양한 표현방법을 사용하여 한지작업을 새로운 시각으로 재조명해 보았고, 이를 통하여 내적 표현방법을 습득하여 작품에 대한 전면적인 점검과 작업방향을 보완해 나가는 계기가 되리라 보며, 앞으로 더 많은 소재를 접하고 다양한 기법과 탐구를 모색하여 새로운 한지작업을 연구하고자 한다. Nature offers numerous materials to artists, and gives opportunity for art generously anytime. But, he(or she) chooses material from nature and also reconstitutes it in accordance with the mind of artists to accept, and human beings discover order and law from nature. And, it can be seen that the base of art was nature in any race and in the fine art style of any period easily. It may be common fact that the appearance motive of the form or what becomes the background of spirit in the appearance of new form, while one original art form declines were just another new discovery for actuality or nature regardelss of the East and the West. Like this, artists seek beauty endlessly from nautre, and nature is offering infinite data. Thus, this researcher tried to express the beauty and generosity that nature gives and nature kept in one's own lost mind by withdrawing from the exigent city life and this rapidly developing world with one step. And, this researcher tried to make the tough life power and mysteriousness of nature and the wonderfulness and beauty of nature of the materials of subjective image by making the image of nature into form through giving life to the feature of Korean paper and tried to take comfort even for a while in the confused and disorderly society of today by trying to express Korean paper plastically through reconstituting it. Thus, this researcher expressed the vivid image that nature gives to us with the diverse expression techniques of Korean paper, Indian ink, color and line by finding subjects to be mountain, flower, and rain. In addition, this researcher utilized material freely by soaking Korean paper in water, fingering, and kneading it, so that the feature peculiar to pure Korean paper may be expressed with nature hand skill about original and vivid image. And, about expression techniques also, this researcher used drawing a line which uses hands or striking which uses brush, and printing etc. about expression techniques also. About color, this researcher expressed the warmth to be felt in nature. And, this researcher expressed the image to be felt in nature by the spreading of Indian ink softly by filtering it with the image of this researcher. In this study, this researcher tried Korean paper work peculiarly by using diverse expression methods as what made the image of nature which is settling in inside deeply outwardly by using Korean paper, and this researcher could learn th expression method of art through it, and is expecting that it may be the momentum for the complete inspection for work and for supplementing it, and tries to grope for the diverse techniques and searches and aim atestablishing new Korean paper work by contacting more materials in the future.

환경도자의 자연친화적인 표현특성에 관한 연구 : 랜드마크의 특성을 중심으로

오늘날의 인류는 인위적 환경에 현실적으로 적응하고 있는 동시에, 자연환경으로의 복귀를 지향하려는 형태를 보이고 있으며, 공공디자인으로 실천하는 녹색성장 도시재생, 인간중심의 도시환경 조성, 친환경을 통한 새로운 도시공간문화를 보여주는 공공디자인은 이시대의 화두이다. 21세기 사회에서의 도시의 모습은 과거･현재･미래의 시간의 흐름 속에서 그 사회･문화의 맥락적 관계를 통해 도시공간과 인간의 사유적 소통공간이 되어야 한다. 도시환경디자인은 현대 도심사회에서 보여주는 모든 시각적 요소들을 디자인 하는 분야이고, 도심의 질적인 가치형성 구축과 인간생활환경 전반에 걸쳐 미적가치를 추구하고 가장 양질의 삶을 살 수 있는 쾌적한 도시환경을 만들어 주는 것을 목적으로 한다. 인간은 생활공간 속에서 예술을 접목시키려 노력해 왔으며 생활공간으로서 기능과 함께 아름답게 치장해 주기를 요망하고 기대하게 되었고, 아름다운 도시와 쾌적한 공간을 요구하게 되었다. 환경도자에서의 자연과 인간 그리고 공간이 온전한 공존관계를 유지하여 비자연성, 비인간화를 극복하고 인간과 자연이 함께 교감하며 풍요로워 질 수 있는 공간 조성이 절실하다고 할 수 있다. 환경은 생활하는 주위의 상태를 의미하며, 이는 도시환경과 자연환경으로 이루어져 있고, 도시환경에는 불특정한 사람들이 주체로 그 공간에는 공공성이 존재하고 있다. 현재 각 도시들은 후진도시의 틀을 벗어나기 위해 공공디자인의 개념을 도입하여 도시 공공영역에 창조적 발상을 통해 도시의 이미지를 탈바꿈하고 있다. 환경도자는 기계로 제작되어 획일적 일 수밖에 없는 제한된 재료의 형태가 아닌, 흙의 특수성을 가지고 손으로 만들어진 예술작품으로서 공공디자인과 접목되어 그 도시의 이미지를 창조적으로 표현할 수 있는 충분한 요소를 가지고 있다. 사람들은 도시에 나름대로의 이미지를 가지고 있으며, 도시는 나름대로 아이덴티티를 가지고 있다. 사람들의 마음속에 형성되어 있는 이미지는 쉽게 변하지 않으며 좋은 이미지는 많은 부분에서 긍정적으로 작용한다. 도시는 그렇기 때문에 좋은 아이덴티티를 구축하기위해 노력하고 있다. 현대 도시환경 속에서 환경도자의 자연 친화적인 표현은 한국적 조형의식과 가치관에 부합되는 좋은 도시이미지와 아이덴티티를 구축하는 측면에서 도시이미지를 효과적으로 창출하기 위한 나아가 국가브랜드 형성에 기여할 수 있는 랜드마크의 유형을 고찰하고 도시전략적인 사례를 살펴보았다. 환경도자의 자연 친화적인 표현은 인간과 주변 환경과의 유기적 연계를 도모하여 자연환경을 보존하는 동시에 인간의 건강과 쾌적성을 증진시킨다. 좀 더 포괄적인 자연 친화의 개념으로 도시화, 기계화로 자연환경과의 관계가 단절된 인간의 삶의 방식과 사고체계를 자연에 깊은 애정과 익숙함을 가지고 있던 인간 본연의 심성을 되살리고, 또한 자연에 대한 이해를 넓히며 서로 공생하는 관계로 회복시킨다. 따라서 환경도자의 자연친화적인 표현은 아름답고 쾌적한 생활공간 조성이라는 시대적 요구에 따라 관련 연구가 더욱더 활성화, 전문화 되어야 할 것으로 판단되며, 환경도자에서의 자연적 요소와 디자인적 형태의 폭넓은 이해와 심도 있는 연구로 병행될 때 바람직한 환경도자의 친환경적인 표현이 21세기에 주목받을 수 있는 도시 브랜드의 형성과 역할을 할 수 있는 랜드마크가 될 것으로 본다. 21세기 패러다임으로써 녹색정책의 그리노믹스가 전개되고 있다. 환경도자의 자연친화적인 표현 특성은 랜드마크를 구축하는데 있어서 첫째, 생태학적 관점에서 추구되는 환경 친화적인 자세와 한국의 친자연성과 닿아 있으며 둘째, 한국적 조형의식과 가치관에 부합된다. 국가경쟁력의 중심이 도시경쟁력이고, 도시의 상징은 국가상징과 공유하고 있다. 본 연구는 도시 스토리와 역사적 맥락이 존중되는 창의적이고 유한한'희소가치'로 존재하는 랜드마크 방향을 모색하는데 그 의의가 있다. Today, human-beings are showing their intentions to return to the green environment, at the same time that they are realistically adjusting to the artificial environment. They are the issues to recycle the green growth city practicing with the public designs, ,make the human-oriented urban environments and make the public designs showing the new culture of the urban space through the environment-friendly works. The image of the city in 21st century needs to be the private communicative space between human-beings and the urban spaces through the contextual relationships of the society and the culture in the middle of the passage of time- the past, the present and the future. The designing of the urban environment is the field that designs all the visual elements which are shown in the center of the modern city and its goal is to build the qualitative value of the center of the city, pursue the aesthetic value throughout the life environment of human-being and make the pleasant environment where people can have the highest quality of living. People have tried to graft art in the living space. They came to expect them to be decorated gorgeously with the function as the living space and ask for the beautiful city and the pleasant space. It can be considered that it is vital to make a space where human-beings and environment can commune with, be abundant and overcome the denaturalization and dehumanization by keeping the intact coexistence between human-beings and the nature. The environment-friendly expression of the environmental ceramics not only preserves the natural environment by promoting the close relationships between human-beings and the surrounding environment but also enhances the pleasantness and the heath of human-beings. To tell from more comprehensive point of view of the environment-friendly notion, it can bring back the true nature of human-beings which used to have a deep affection and comfortableness about the nature from the way of lives and the process of thinking of human-lives which were broken off with the natural environment due to the civilization and mechanization. In addition, it extends the understanding about the environment and restores to go back to the coexistence relationships. Thus, the relevant study of the environment-friendly expression of environmental ceramics needs to be invigorated and specialized more and more to promptly meet the needs of the times which are to build a pleasant and comfortable living space. Furthermore, when it goes with an in-depth study and an extensive understanding about the natural elements and the designing form in the environmental ceramics, the environment-friendly expression of the desirable environmental ceramics can be a landmark that can play a role of building an urban brand which can be noticed in 21st century. This study examined the city strategic examples and considered the form of landmarks which can contribute to building the national brand, from a point of view of building a good urban image corresponding to the values and the awareness of Korean modeling as the environment-friendly expression of environmental ceramics. The environment means the surrounding situations, which consists of the urban environment and the natural environment. Unspecified people in the urban environments are the main agents and there are the publicity in the space. Nowadays each city is trying to change the image of their cities with adapting the notion of the public designing in order to get out of the image of the underdeveloped city. The environmental ceramics is a work of art made by hands with soil possessing its own distinct characteristics, -not with the same material which cannot help but limited as made by machines. Thus, it has enough elements that can express the image of the city creatively, crafted with the public designing. This study intends to examine the detailed areas where the environmental ceramics are used in a variety of places currently in the urban spaces through the examples according to the public design elements showing the publicity in the environments of modern cities. Furthermore, it intends to show the directions of the landmarks to create the urban image more effectively. People have their own images about the cities and the city has its own identity, as well. A good image forming in the mind of people doesn't change easily and it plays a positive role on many parts. That's why the cities are trying hard to build a good identity. Greenomic (Green + Economy) of green policy is being progressed as a paradigm of 21st century. The characteristics of the environment-friendly expression of the environmental ceramics is to build the landmarks. Thus, the first, the environment-friendly attitude pursued from the biological point of view is very close to the environment-friendly nature of Koreans. The second, it corresponds to the values and the awareness of Korean modeling. The core of the national competitiveness is the city competitiveness and the symbol of a city shares with that of a nation. This study has its significance in looking for the directions of the landmarks which exists as creative and limited 'scarcity value' which the story of the city and the historical context are respected.

서정적 자연표현

예술이란? 인간의 사상과 감정을 전달하는 미적 표현활동의 총체다. 아리스토텔레스는 예술은 모방이라 했다. 신(神), 자연, 이성의 모방이다. 예술은 표현형식(significant form)을 의미한다. 이것은 사물과 자연에 대한 영감(靈感)을 통한 통찰(洞察)로서 '감정이입' 시키는 표현(表現)이다. 예술작품의 형식을 빌려 정신을 통해 감정이입과 의미 부여의 동적(動的)인 형상성을 갖는다. 예술가는 내면세계 속에서 끊임없이 미적 경험을 쌓아가며 모든 경험과 상상을 표현 할 수 있는 조형요소를 찾는다. 따라서 예술작품 속에는 예술가가 처한 시대적 상황과 환경 그리고 자기자신에게서 발견된 것이 표현되어진다고 하겠다. 본 연구자의 작품표현에 있어서 자연에의 관심에서 출발하여 자연의 깊은 아름다움과 신비로움 생성과 소별이라는 보이지 않는 움직임과 내재된 힘을 작품에 표현하였으며, 끊임없이 변화하는 자연의 이미지를 섬세한 감성으로 받아들여 이를 내적인 심상을 통해 서정적으로 표현해 보고자 하였다. 본 연구에 있어 한국의 예술에 있어서의 자연주의 특성, 60년대이후 현대 한국화의 흐름에 대한 이론적 연구를 통하여 본인의 작품의 이론적 토대를 마련하고자 하였다. 우리의 미술은 인위적인 요소는 가능한 제거하고 그냥 거기에 본래 있었던 것처럼 자연스럽게 작품을 제작한다는 점이 특징적이다. 그야말로 무엇을 만들어 낸다는 의미보다는 형태가 스스로 생명력을 발휘하도록 돕는 것은 우리 작가들에게서 두드러진 자연주의적 특성이라고 아니할 수 없다. 그러면서도 절제된 감정과 과장 없이 자연스럽게 조화를 이루는 편안함과 깊이가 있다. 한국화의 추상화 과정 속에서도 이러한 자연주의 특성과 함께 작품표현의 시대적 변화와 다각적 연구가 과감히 시도 되었다. 한국화의 추상화 과정의 가장 특징적인 수묵화 운동은 20세기 서양미술의 새로운 도입 속에서도 동양의 고유한 정신성을 작품에서 강조하고 수묵을 통한 작업으로 보다 폭 넓은 발전과 가능성을 모색하며 오늘날의 한국화의 방향에 어떠한 구심점 가지고 변화한 문화운동이라 하겠다. 이러한 한국화의 시대적 상황 속에서 본인 작업으로 연결 작품의 조형요소 들을 구체적으로 제시하고 새로운 모색과 고찰의 계기를 마련 함으로서 현대적 표현으로서 나아갈 작업방향을 재점검 하고자 하였다. 작품표현 기법에 있어서 자연 소재의 넝쿨, 들풀, 나뭇가지등을 화면에 구성하여 이의 표현을 위해 화선지의 특성을 살린 수묵의 미묘한 변화와 함께 선의 변화 속, 성김과 빽빽함 점으로 이루어진 공간의 여백의 변화와 함께, 먹의 느낌을 부각시키는 담채기법을 통하여 계절변화와 생명의 느낌을 화면에 나타내려 하였으며 새로운 추상적 표현을 도입함으로서 현대적인 표현들의 가능성을 추구하고자 하였다. 본인의 작품을 통하여 현대적 추상표현방법을 모색하고 지, 필, 묵이 갖는 재료적 특성을 살리며 소재와 표현의 다양성을 이용한 실험적 방법으로 한국화의 내용과 표현한계성을 극복해 보고자 하였다. Artists ceaselessly acquire aesthetic experience in their inner world and seek for formative elements that they may represent their experience and imagination through. In this thesis, I wanted to express the depth of the beauty and soul of the nature from the viewpoint of curiosity to the nature and show the variable image of nature through delicate feeling. This work has its theoretical foundation on the study of the characteristics of the naturalism in the art of Korea and the contemporary literature of oriental painting since 1960. There are the harmony of depth and relief in Korean art and the naturalism with out artificial elements. These are also tested in the oriental painting abstract-expressionism process. The oriental painting movement, most remarkable in the said process, was the cultural movement, which emphasize the unique oriental spirit and long for the expanded progress and possibility in the works, affecting modern Korean painting. Based on the recognition of the study, I tried to present concrete formative elements and build a motive for new consideration in my work. From the presentational point of view, I used delicate change of India ink which optimize Chinese drawing paper, density and tightness of line, change of space which consists of dots and light coloring to show change of season and feeling of life in my work, and tried new abstract way of expression in order to pursue possibility of modern expression. To sum up, I wanted to look for modern abstract-expression and overcome the limitation of expression of Korean painting through unique characteristics of each materials; paper, writing brushes and Chinese ink, and experimental methods using variety of expression.

This study has an object that is concerned about nature around us, as feel harmony with beauty of nature through the artistic experience, to have awareness about conservation of nature. Through the expression class which based on the Nature Image, could get the value of education as follows. First, the beauty of nature can find the artistic object in the surrounding and provide the experiences which can feel beauty, makes sentiment plenty. Also it can have active attitude, become part of art life. Second, as teach Nature Image on a level with students, become take pleasure in the expression. Make feel significance of nature through the image expression so the art class serve as a momentum, help know preserve awareness, beauty and significance of nature to students. 본 연구는 우리 주변에 있는 자연에 대해 관심을 가지고, 미적 체험을 통하여 자연의 아름다움과 조화를 느끼도록 함으로써, 자연보호에 대한 의식을 갖도록 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 자연 이미지를 이용한 표현수업을 통해서 다음과 같은 교육적 가치를 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 자연미는 주변 환경에서 미적 대상을 발견하고, 아름다움을 느낄 수 있는 경험을 제공함으로써 정서를 풍부하게 해준다. 또, 미술을 생활화할 수 있는 적극적인 자세를 가질 수 있게 된다. 둘째, 자연 이미지를 학습자 수준에 맞는 발상법으로 지도함으로서, 표현에 대한 즐거움을 갖게 된다. 셋째, 자연 이미지를 다양한 시청각 매체나 참고 자료를 통해서 표현에 대한 동기유발을 시킴으로서, 창의적인 표현방법을 터득하게 된다. 주제나 표현재료, 표현기법 등에 관한 탐색으로 인해 창의적인 표현으로 이끌어 낼 수 있는 밑거름이 된다. 넷째, 작품을 완성해 봄으로서, 학생들은 자연에 대한 새로운 가치를 발견하고, 표현에 대한 성취감을 느끼게 된다. 이미지 표현을 통해서 자연에 대한 소중함을 느끼게 하였으며, 미술과 수업이 학생들에게 자연의 소중함과 아름다움, 보호의식에도 도움을 준다는 것을 알게 하는 계기가 되었다.
