초임 체육교사들의 체육수업 지도 어려움의 이해: 교육대학원에서 교원 자격을 취득한 교사 사례를 중심으로

목적: 이 연구는 체육계열 학과 졸업 후 교육대학원에서 ‘교원 자격’을 취득한 초임 체육교사들이 체육 수업을 할 때 겪게 되는 어려움을 이해하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법: 유목적적 표집 방법에 따라 수도권에 위치한 2개 대학교 교육대학원에서 ‘교원 자격’을 취득한 초임 체육교사 3명을 선정하였다. 자료수집을 위해 질적 연구방법을 활용한 심층 면담을 하였고, Spradley(1980)의 발전식 연구단계(Development Research Sequence; DRS)의 문화 기술적 심층 면담과 자료 분석 방법을 채택하였다. 결과: 연구참여자들이 체육교사가 되어 겪게 되는 체육수업 지도의 어려움으로는 다재다능을 요구하는 체육수업, 평가 위주의 체육수업, 학생들의 흥미 있는 활동 위주로 하는 선택적 참여수업, 비대면 수업자료 제작의 어려움으로 수업 여건이 부족한 체육수업 등으로 나타났다. 결론: 교육대학원의 교원 양성 과정에서는 실제 체육 수업 지도에 필요한 실기지도 능력 향상을 위한 프로그램 운영 및 교육현장과 연계 가능한 교육과정 수립이 필요하다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the difficulties experienced by novice physical education(P.E.) teachers who have graduated from the graduate school of education when teaching physical education classes. Methods: Three novice P.E. teachers from two universities located in the metropolitan area were selected by the nomadic sampling method. For data collection, in-depth interviews were conducted using qualitative research methods. In addition, the cultural and technical in-depth interview and data analysis methods of Spradley(1980)"s Development Research Sequence(DRS) were used. Results: Participants hoped to become P.E. teachers who could possess occupational stability through counseling with their academic advisors during their undergraduate years. The difficulties in teaching P.E. classes include P.E. classes that require versatility, P.E. classes for the pursuit of evaluation, selective participation classes of students, and P.E. classes that lack of educational conditions. Conclusion: Therefore, in order to cultivate efficient P.E. teachers in the graduate school of education, it is necessary to establish a curriculum that can be linked with the contents and the field of education for the practical instruction during P.E. classes.

This study analyzes the media reported on the Seoul Olympics, and socio-cultural characteristics were derived. The researchers have concluded as follows after analyzing the media on the Games in conjunction with relevant domestic and international politics. Firstly, there were the pros and cons comments about the Olympic bidding due to a distrust of the government and lack of information about the impact of such a mega event. Secondly, there were political turmoil caused by an ideological conflict between the two Koreas and socio-political confusion. Thirdly, the reaction about result of Seoul Olympic was consistently positive. Olympics on the reaction of the media`s social and cultural historical research on the role of the PE values to improve and enrich the educational episodes could do is hope. Such an Olympic media study can contribute to fertilizing various educational episodes in school curricular and promoting the value of socio-cultural function of sport.

The political policies between the two Koreas since the Korean War have resulted in exclusive senses and this aspect affected ideologically to politics, society, education and so forth over the last half century or so. As witnessed in the case of Germany, sports exchanges can play enormously important role to achieve unification of the two Koreas. It was the research intention to understand the transformation of sports policies in two Koreas and to explore changes of sports exchange since the Korean War. Firstly, the President Park attempted sport exchange with the North intending nationalistic oriented policy and it was aimed to focus on elites`` intensive cultivation considering winning always against the North. Secondly, the President Jean in the international challenges and the limits of the military regime was limited inter-Korean sports exchanges. Thirdly, during the reign of Kim, his intention towards the unification was often criticized due to various concerns including the misuses of supported material. Overall research discussion and result may be able to contribute to sustaining peace in the Korean peninsula and approaching to setting the stone for the unification in the rapidly changing world politics in the twenty first century.
