In this study, we conducted research on the development of a load analysis technique and program for Multi-mode AAM aircraft, incorporating the AAM aircraft certification regulations. With the emergence of new concepts in aviation transportation, certification regulations for aircraft acquisition have been revised and established primarily in the United States and Europe. In this research, we investigated the trends in AAM aircraft certification regulations and conducted analysis and establishment of suitable certification regulations. We also identified and presented the necessary elements for load analysis. Based on the established certification regulations, we developed a load analysis program. Specifically, we implemented modules capable of load analysis for Vn Diagram, Wing Load, Tail Load, Control Surface Load, and landing loads. Multi-mode aircraft, in particular, possess vertical takeoff and landing capabilities for urban operations, which required us to propose takeoff and landing strategies that take this characteristic into account. Additionally, we developed a load analysis technique that considers the vertical component of velocity, which was not previously included in conventional load analysis methods. The developed load analysis program was applied to an eVTOL Boxwing aircraft, and the results of the load analysis were analyzed. The analysis showed similar trends in load distribution to the developed techniques, indicating successful implementation of the research. Furthermore, we integrated the developed load analysis module into In-house code developed in our laboratory, enhancing the precision of load analysis input data and enabling load analysis for various AAM aircraft configurations.
