In terms of expanding the cultural territory of musok, this study attempted to reveal the characteristics and cultural significance of a new shamanic style, 'web-musok', created by facing a new phase of informatization. The subject of the study, 'Web-musok', is a generic term for the musok phenomenon that occupies the space called the web (World Wide Web). Specifically, first, by examining the transmission environment and existence of musok, it was discussed that web-musok is a converted new style reflecting the technical-cultural special conditions of the transmission environment. Second, the level of web- shamanic performance and its structural characteristics were analyzed. Third, based on the discussion conducted above, the cultural specificity and significance of web-musok were discussed. In short, this study aims to clarify the value of the research subject of web-musok and expand the scope of musok research. This is an answer to the question of the presentness of musok, and it was intended to establish a new path for shamanic research. 이 글은 무속의 문화영토의 확장이라는 측면에서, 정보화라는 새로운 국면과 마주하며 생성된 새로운 무속적 양식, ‘웹-무속’의 특성과 문화적 의의를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구 대상인 ‘웹-무속’은 웹(web, World Wide Web)이라는 공간을 점유하여 나타나고 있는 무속 현상을 총칭하는 용어이다. 구체적으로, 첫째, 무속의 전승환경과 존재 양상을 살펴, 웹-무속이 전승환경의 기술적-문화적 특수한 조건들을 반영하며 변환된 새로운 양식임을 논의하였다. 둘째, 웹-무속 연행의 층위와 그 구성적 특징을 분석하였다. 셋째, 위에서 수행된 논의를 바탕으로 웹-무속의 문화적 특이성과 의의를 논의하였다. 요컨대 이 글은 웹-무속이라는 연구대상이 지니고 있는 가치를 밝히고, 무속연구의 영역을 확장하고자 한 것이다. 이는 무속의 현재성에 대한 물음에 대한 하나의 답으로, 무속연구의 새로운 경로를 설정하고자 하였다.

Web-musock, which can be established as a new system of musock, is a cultural style that is being created through a heterogeneous encounter between the web and musock. In order to identify the web-musock as a problematique, this study sought to approach the web-musock as a cultural territory of musock, which is expanding. In particular, we noted the common characteristics of web-musock the common, the convergence of digital commerce called the web and cultural commerce called musock. By looking at the multiple interactions occurring through the (non)platform and the web-free presence patterns emitted in the process, it was confirmed that musock is converting with digital reproduction, reflecting conditions such as the degree of technological development and market forces. At this time, the creation of web-musock, its value practice, is positive in that it is within the structural flow of capital and cooperation between autonomy and symbiosis is the principle of production. A network of cooperation for Web-musock production could be an example of a new horizon for the paradigm shift of musock study as a community culture.

With the opinion that folklore has been examined in heterosexism, this article attempts a queer interpretation of folklore by concentrating on the performativity of mask play. Recognizing that biological men have carried out typical female characters on mask play, we can get opportunity to change the view on it. From the late Joseon Dynasty to modern society, typical female image of mask play and discourses which formed it have constantly reproduced patriarchal and heterosexual gender norms. However, as the conditions of the performance changed, opportunity of capturing gender performativity emerged. Despite the limitations of the connection between folklore and queer, this article imagines the possibility of a new folklore study.
