The purpose of this study is to derive a major trend through exhaustive search of papers contained in "Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society" that has been published for 40 years. Therefore, 1,365 papers published in "Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society" from 1974 to 2013 were analyzed. The analysis criteria include detailed subject and joint research status, research fund supporting, research area etc. The analysis results are as follows. First, as for research topics, papers on library and information science were the most, 452 papers followed by resource organization, 213 papers. The rest was found in the order of information service 188, information science 155 papers, reading guidance 101, library management 91, bibliography 84, collection development 58, archives and records management 20 papers. Through this, it was analyzed that information science is on an increasing trend while bibliography is on an decreasing trend and records management shows sluggish production. Second, as for research fund supporting, it turned out that 428 papers were funded and 315 papers among them were supported by the university while the remaining 108 papers were supported by the government. Third, joint research is on an increasing trend and unlike the fact that there have been no papers for early, papers were found to increase up to 303 papers for recent. Fourth, unlike the early phenomenon concentrated in Daegu, research areas showed even distribution throughout the country in recent years. This showed that it has grown from certain area-based academic journal to nationwide academic journal.

The essence of integration in child education has various and complex characteristics and many kindergarten teachers understand it in a wrong way or mistakenly accept and interpret it among them. Moreover, even if they have an accurate understanding, their performing ability is quite low in the practice of early childhood education thereby causing disagreement between the theory and practice. Therefore, this study aims to summarize and straighten up the essence of integrated education concretely from various respects, find out various problems of integrated education caused by the practice of early childhood education, and suggest measures to solve these problems.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends in researches of public service of the library. The subjects of analysis are a 'Journal of the Korean Society for Library and Information Science', 'Journal of the Korean Library and Information Science Society', 'Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management' an 'Korean Biblia Society for Library and Information Science' ; and the standards of analysis are approach, research method, service delivery stage and service objects. The analysis results are as follows: First, as for the approach, it is consisted of 46(19.4%) normative orientation study, 93(39.2%) empirical orientation study, 64(27.0) practical orientation study and 34(14.5%) others, so it was being carried out empirical orientation study mostly. Second, as for the research method, it was consisted of 94(38.1%) quantitative researches, 123(49.8%) qualitative researches and 30(12.1) others, so it was carried out quantitative researches about 10% more. Third, as for the service delivery stage, while there were 124(35.7%) researches on input stage such as manpower, budget and facilities etc, there were 187(53.9%) researches on result stage such as effects and satisfaction etc, so there were many researches on the result element. Fourth, as for the providers of service objects, there were 211(89.0%) researches on public libraries mainly which exceed much more than other libraries, and as for the recipients, there were 183(77.2%) researches on general users which show overwhelming superiority more than such as children, the elderly and multi-cultural family etc. As the results to analyze the trend in researches on public service of the library during 15 years like above, it was possible to know that it was carried out empirical researches than normative researches and practical researches, and researches for general users of public libraries.

The purposes of this study were to understand the resident` attitudes toward national parks and to identify the residents` perceptions of tourism and the influence of socioeconomic characteristics on their response. In winter of 1997, 153 questionnaires were obtained from a convenience sample of households within Soraksan National Park boundary. The residents perceived both positive and negative environmental and economic impacts of tourism, however, they were reluctant to attribute social costs to tourism. Despite some negative tourism impacts, most of the residents supported additional tourism development and disagreed to limit the number of visitors. Their perceptions of tourism impacts were varied with age, education level, economic dependency on tourism, place of residence, and length of residence.

This study is intended to check economic value of and factors influencing children's library. To this end, data on a total of 614 questionnaires to which parents among users of 6 children's libraries responded were collected. The results of analysis by contingent valuation method after selecting library fee per person as payment vehicle were as follows. First, willingness to pay was estimated to be a monthly average of KRW 9,243 per person. Second, it was shown that factors influencing willingness to pay included the frequency of utilization, satisfaction, the number of children per family, gender, age, and income and so on. Third, with regard to influence according to each factor, an additional unit in all the rest of factors except gender increased probability of willingness to pay such as the frequency of utilization(1.140), satisfaction(1.335), the number of children per family(1.417), age(1.124), income(2.426). On the other hand, in terms of gender, probability of willingness to pay was lower in female by 0.364 than in male. The implication of this study is that an interview is held with actual user and specific amount of money is presented regarding the economic value of children's library, which has been little known until now. 이 연구의 목적은 어린이도서관의 경제적 가치와 영향요인을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 6개 어린이도서관의 이용자 중 부모를 대상으로 총 614부의 자료를 수집하였다. 개인당 월 이용료를 지불수단으로 채택하여 조건부가치측정법으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지불의사금액(WTP)은 1인당 월 평균 9,243원으로 추정되었다. 둘째, 지불의사금액에 영향을 미치는 요인은 이용빈도, 만족도, 자녀수, 성별, 나이, 소득 등으로 나타났다. 셋째, 요인별 영향력은 성별을 제외한 나머지 요인 모두 단위가 하나씩 증가할수록 이용빈도(1.140), 만족도(1.335), 자녀수(1.417), 나이(1.124), 소득(2.426) 등으로 지불의사확률이 높았다. 반면에 성별에서는 여성이 남성에 비해 0.364만큼 지불의사확률이 낮았다. 이 연구의 시사점은 현재까지 잘 알려지지 않았던 어린이도서관의 경제적 가치에 대해 실제 이용자를 직접 면담하여 구체적인 금액으로 제시한 점이라고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand the characteristics of children's play behavior in six interest centers found in a kindergarten classroom: language area, block area, science area, house area, art area, and area. To do this, the work time of kindergarten program was selected for observation and 5-year-old 12 classes working in interest center were examined an hour over 12 times. A observation tool was based on Parten's six play types classification: unoccupied behavior, onlooker behavior, solitary play, parallel play, associative play, and cooperative play. As a result, the characteristics of children's play behavior found in the kindergarten interest center are as follows: 1. In the interest center, children participated most in block area and language area. And children participated least in science area. Children equally participated in house area, manipulative area, and art area. 2. In the interest center, the play type found most was solitary play and associative play, followed by parallel play and cooperative play. The play type found least was unoccupied behavior and onlooker behavior. 3. The play types found most by interest center included block area-solitary play, manipulative area-solitary play, science area-solitary play, house area-cooperative play, and art area-parallel play. Solitary play was found most in four out of six interests, except house area and art area. The results suggest that the level of environmental structure of interest center has an influence on children's participation level in interest center and that children's play behavior is related ta the characteristics of interest center. Furthermore, it may be inappropriate to explain the characteristics of children's play behavior in interest center in terms of age alone. More complex elements seem to be related.

This study aims at examining problems in education of teachers of early childhood education and seeking a method to solve them. Conventional education of teachers of early childhood education is insufficient in training able teachers with professional quality because its curriculum was established on the basis of theoretical knowledge or experience. In addition, although teachers of early childhood education completed the required credits at early childhood education agency and got qualification, they couldn't achieve a satisfactory result in playing the roles of teachers with expertism. Therefore, this study discusses a chair operation with the diversified and whole approaches in early childhood education colleges, optimal utilization of teacher or human resource in community to enhance the availability of and expertism related to early childhood education, close relationship between college and early children education agencies and mutual interchange, extension of joint research and training through cooperations among educator of early childhood education teachers, in service teachers and preservice teachers and conversion of thinking recognizing relation between early childhood education agencies and colleges into real partnership rather than the relation between demander and consumer.
